Previous Events

ETICS is a highly active and visible team within the European Project IT community. Since the project started in March 2008, ETICS has been present at many global events, delivering presentations and ensuring a high profile.


GTAC 2009 - Zurich, Switzerland

The Google Test and Automation Conference 2009 was held on 21-22 October in Zurich. ETICS 2 Project Co-ordinator Alberto Di Meglio gave a keynote speech on ETICS.

DCABES 2009 conference - Wuhan, Hubei, China

16-19 October - the achievements concerning the workflow-based multinode deployment tests for desktop grid applications will be presented as part of a speech on EDGeS.

QA&TEST conference - Bilbao, Spain

21-22-23 October 2009, ETICS presented a 45-minute session on "ETICS System: Automated Testing and Quality Assurance"  at the QA&TEST conference in Bibao. More information on our news page.

Krakow 09 Grid Workshop; Krakow, Poland

EGEE'09 - Barcelona, Spain

ETICS was at the EGEE'09 conference at two sessions, Standards and Certifications – Improving the quality of eInfrastructure software  and Distributed testing and testbed management

GridKA school - Germany

 The GridKA school will be held on 31 August – 1 September, during which ETICS 2 team will give a full day training session on ETICS. For more information, please e-mail Isabel Matranga.

5 August 2009. ETICS lecture and hands-on session.

CTI workshop

The two day workshop on quality automation was co-organised by ETICS 2. It was an interesting opportunity to collect feedback from experts in the area and at the same time disseminate A-QCM model.

CTI http://www.cenpra.gov.br/  is one of the few organisations that make software product quality evaluation and have substantial experience with the ISO/IEC 25000 standards.

CERN and Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project event

During the event a presentation of the ETICS system was given to representatives of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project, a multi-national collaboration to build a very large distributed radio-telescope, with similar software management needs as EGEE and WLCG.


ETICS AHM, Budapest, Hungary

ETICS held its third very successful and productive All Hands Meeting at Budapest in Hungary on 22-24 June 2009. The full agenda and further information can be found here.


 Hannover Messe, Germany

22nd April, VEGA presented ETICS 2 at the Hannover Messe event for SpaceTransfer09.

VEGA showcased ETICS 2's capabilities within the aerospace industry with this presentation, and several photos of the event are here, here and here.

Vega was also present on the ESA stand where brochures on ETICS were handed out and a video on ETICS was shown.

OGF25/EGEE User Forum; Catania, Italy

2-6 March 2009. ETICS 2 is presenting at the OGF25/EGEE User Forum on Integrating the ETICS services in the EGEE Grid Infrastructure.


All Hands Meeting; Darmstadt, Germany

18-20 February 2009 - ETICS 2 held its next All Hands Meeting at the offices of VEGA GmbH in Darmstadt, Germany.


UMD workshop; Budapest, Hungary

2 February 2009 - ETICS was invited to present on what we consider the most important requirements of a distributed build and test system, based on our experience and on discussions with several user communities.


ECRI 2008; Versailles, France

9-11 December 2008, the European Conference on Research Infrastructures 2008 at Versailles sees ETICS 2 attending this high-profile event.


Krakow Grid Seminar; Krakow, Poland

11 December 2008. ETICS 2 will be presenting "ETICS - Software Engineering Infrastructure and Quality Process" at the Grid Seminar.


ICT 2008; Lyon, France

24-27 November, ETICS 2 presented at the Networking session on"Security and Quality issues for next Generation OSS in a Business Context". More information here.

QA&test; Bilbao, Spain

On 29-31 October, ETICS 2 was present at the 7th International Conference on Software QA and Testing on Embedded Systems.
